INTER FERRY BOATS
The IFB group provides integrated transport solutions by rail, barge and truck, supported by terminal operations, Customs handling, ICT services, 24 hours monitoring and other value added services.
Its core businesses are
- Transport of maritime containers : IFB provides hinterland transport by rail and, through its subsidiary H&S Container Line, by barge out of the ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam to shipping lines, inland terminals and forwarders/integrators, and general forwarding activities.
- Transport of continental containers : IFB offers a wide-range rail network from Belgium towards various Spanish, French, Italian and Romanian destinations, supported by our branches in Italy and France, and our partner ICF Ibérica in Spain.
- Terminal operations : 6 rail container terminals in Belgium, of which 2 tri-modal. And also 1 in France.
- Rail Force : transport of all types chemicals in rail tank cars and specialised equipment. General Forwarding for automotive wood, paper & tiles.
- On site rail services : rail operations on the customers’ premises.
As subsidiary of the national railway company SNCB, IFB Group is member of SNCB Logistics. IFB Group has a consolidated turnover of ~200 million EUR turnover and a healthy profitability.
