Extension of the rail express services of the IFB Group "RHÔNE FLANDERS EXPRESS"
IFB invests in new rail/road destinations. With the Rhône-Flanders Express, a new line between Antwerpen/Zeebrugge and Lyon, the company opens the way for intermodal transport to Southern Europe in cooperation with ECR, the second largest freight railway operator in France.
Antwerpen, January 19th 2009 – One of IFB’s important strategies is the optimization of the production of the major international transport flows. That is why the group works with strong partners to guarantee foreign transport from door to door. In response to the market demand IFB, which is specialised in intermodal transport, has developed a new line to facilitate transport to Southern Europe. For the Rhône-Flanders Express from Antwerpen and Zeebrugge to Lyon (with a stop at Chalindrey), IFB has chosen to work with EuroCargoRail (ECR), a private European railway company.
The Rhône-Flanders Express guarantees as from 2nd February 2009 rail transport to Chalindrey and Lyon twice a week.
